Chattanooga State Community College was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon after reports of an active shooter on campus. Students and staff were evacuated from the campus, and local law enforcement responded to the scene.

The lockdown was lifted around 4:30 p.m. after police determined there was no active threat. No injuries were reported.
