The DPR Korea Football League is the top football league in North Korea. It was founded in 1945 and is currently overseen by the Korean Football Association. The league is divided into a first division, the DPR Korea Premier Football League, and a second division.
Premier Football League
The Premier Football League is the highest level of football in North Korea. It is composed of 12 teams that compete in a round-robin format. The champion team qualifies for the AFC Champions League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the second division.
Current Season
The 2022–23 DPR Korea Premier Football League is the current season of the competition. It began on April 25, 2022, and is scheduled to end on October 31, 2023. The defending champions are April 25, who have won a record 21 titles.
